Identity as a fundamental aspect of social life is no longer attached to the social structure since approximately two decades ago, so that the reproduction and transformation of identity can be done individually. In the contemporary context, the temporality dimension becomes an additional aspect for the process of identity formation, especially at the individual level, which then encourages the discussion and debate of identity to become more complex. By considering the instability of involvement in groups and the implications for individual existence, particularly related to immaterial welfare in the form of mental health and supporting systems for individuals, the issue of identity cannot be negated from the existence of digital society.
